Posting Rules We are asking you, dear XSI Base users, to pay attention to the way you write messages. We know that you have your style, but keep in mind that you are communicating with other people, and some tend to forget it. More, XSI Base is a software forum, not a personal relations one, intended for professionals and professional wannabe. At least, if you are here just to satisfy your hobby, act professional.
Clearly, we don't want:
-Posts that irrelevant, that have no point, are completely out of context. They rarely help. If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything.
-Posts that have the only purpose of complaining. When you don't understand something, don't find a features, can't do something in the software, or have to rely on script or programming, it won't help anyone to whine and compare with other softwares. Instead ask for help, or alternate ways to do it. Be constructive in your comments. If you can't, well that's too bad. Basically, saying the software suck without VERY GOOD reasons is unprofessional, your post might be removed.
-Posts that are too basic, like how to I draw a curve. Read the manual before, otherwise your post might be ignored. If you're not sure about how basic your question is, have the courtesy of explaining that you're a newbie and don't have access to the manuals. If you look at the posts, at least one on four can be answered just by checking the manuals.
-Posts that are disrespectful or insulting will be removed. Any persistence in this behavior will spell a ban. If you feel a moderator has gone too far, try to solve things up with him privately, they are nice when approached carefully.
-Posts that are written badly. Ok, we understand not everyone is good with English, but pllllllllllease, pay extreme care to your messages. Some are incomprehensible, some have 3 lines of leading, many have links to images that don't load, etc. You do not help yourself when you post this kind of message.
-Post that are not at the right place. There is a discussion for every aspect of the software, and moving posts is annoying for us.
-And finally the typical posts warez, cracks, and this kind of stuff is strictly forbidden. A comment about I don't support piracy in general is tolerable, but things like:"the cracked version doesn't allow this effect it's no wonder you crash everytime" is totally unacceptable.
You are entitled to your views and opinions, we enjoy reading comments, we respect that you might not agree with some of our ideas, but this is a professional forum, and we expect that you behave this way. If you're not happy or you think that we are too strict, then this place is not for you.
We recommend that you read this for further details:
